Brené Brown is a social scientist, a professor at the University of Houston and one of the most-viewed Ted Talk speakers. Netflix has recognized the widespread potential of Brown’s ‘power of vulnerability’ and will be hosting an hour-long special in April this year.
“I’m breaking some boundaries over at Netflix,” Brené made the thrillful announcement over on Instagram.
She’s perhaps most famous for her TEDTalks video back in 2011, as it accumulated over 9 million views on YouTube.
“Brené Brown studies human connection — our ability to empathize, belong, love.”
The Netflix original hour-long special is airing on April 19, 2019.
The social science professor shares lots of wisdom on Instagram, and it should be just enough to get us through to the 19th of April.
“The root of the word courage is cor – the Latin word for heart. In one of its earliest forms, the word courage had a very different definition than it does today. Courage originally meant “‘To speak one’s mind by telling all one’s heart.'”
