The newest edition to the Teen Mom world is the spin off series, Teen Mom: Family Reunion. With all of the cast members being veterans of the series, which moms make the most? You might be surprised which mom makes the most bank.
It’s been reported that the Teen Mom stars salaries vary with the amount of time they have been on the series.
According to an anonymous insider:
“For those docu-ensembles, especially if they’re nobodies, per episode it ranges from low-end, like $1,500 an episode, to $3,000 at the high end.”
He continued:
“After three years of success, it can go up to $7,000 to $10,000 an episode. After that, you start moving into the Kardashian level.”
Most of the moms are forced to keep their salaries on the downlow, but some have gotten out in the open.
Amber Portwood’s salary was revealed in court proceeding that were made public during her legal dispute with her ex/baby daddy, Andrew Glennon. It came to light that she had signed not one but two pretty lucrative six month contracts with MTV for a whopping $140,000 each, not to mention some signing bonuses and incentives that brought her more than $300,000 total.
Reportedly, Teen Mom OG star, Maci Bookout makes about $500,000 per season filmed. Although, she claims that reality tv stardom is not all it’s cracked up to be.
She wrote in her memoir:
“Reality TV can make you very famous, but you basically get the s–t end of the deal. Everyone knows your name and talks about you, but there’s no red carpet prestige or glamorous piles of money.”
She continued:
“Once you become a so-called reality TV star, people immediately think you’re a high-end celebrity and you travel the world and have a mansion. And so much money and all these other things they associate with having your face on television. The fact is, my real life isn’t that much different from what it would have been without MTV.”
Reportedly Teen Mom star, Leah Messer makes about $400,000 per season for filming Teen Mom 2.
According to sources, Leah’s net worth is in the millions range, with a span of $1-5 million dollars. That income comes from not only MTV as a source, but also various product endorsements, as well as social media such as Cameo.
The newer moms aren’t pulling in as much bank, but are still raking in the dough.
Newer moms such as Jade Cline, and Cheyenne Floyd who joined the Teen Mom: Family Reunion spin off, aren’t quite as well off as the veterans, but they are still making a pretty decent amount.
Its reported that they rack in about $3,000 per episode filmed.
Despite making only a brief appearance on the spin off series, Farrah Abraham is still the wealthiest Teen Mom star ever.
Farrah was making an upwards of $25,000 for each and every episode of Teen Mom: OG until she got fired, that is.
Farrah’s net worth derives from many branches of the Reality TV world, as not only she was a Teen Mom star, but also starred on ‘Ex on the beach,’ ‘Single AF’, and many more.
Her appearance on MTV’s ‘Ex on the beach,’ got her around $300,000, as reported by The Blast.
And Farrah of course makes a ton of money for on her Only Fans profile where she earns $4.99 per month per subscriber. She currently has 28.5K subscribers to her page and that number grows daily.
All of this combined together gets Farrah to an estimated net worth of $5 million+, which is leagues above any other ‘Teen Mom’ star earnings so far.
