On the most recent episode of Teen Mom 2, we saw the first meeting between Leah Messer’s daughters and her boyfriend, Jaylan Mobley. To say the meeting was awkward is an understatement, and fans couldn’t help but notice how uncomfortable the girls were.
After about a month of dating, Leah Messer introduced her daughters to her boyfriend, Jaylan Mobley.
The meeting came after the couple confirmed their relationship status on a romantic trip to Costa Rica together.
After returning home from the trip, Leah could be seen in the car with her daughters. She began a conversation about Jaylan in attempts to gauge their interest in meeting him.
Leah announced:
“You guys can ask Jaylan any questions you guys have. He’s prepared.”
The girls sounded eager to meet him, but viewers took note that their faces told a different story.
Then came the actual meeting.
Jaylan came to Leah’s West Virginia home and they gathered in the living room with cameras rolling.
Leah’s daughters were pretty quiet, which was definitely unusual for her youngest daughter, Addie, who is known for saying what’s on her mind.
Lots of fans noticed that Leah’s daughter, Ali, was really not into the meeting and not impressed with her mom’s new boyfriend.
When Leah said to Ali, “Ali, this is Jay”, Ali looked unimpressed and said “I know…”.
One twitter user posted, “If I am not impressed with Jaylan was a face”, along with a photo of Ali looking uninterested.
Jaylan shared with Leah and her daughters that he too was nervous about their first meeting.
He said:
“I was excited to meet you guys too. I was kinda nervous too but excited at the same time.”
Leah’s daughter Addie had some important questions for Jaylan upon meeting him.
Addie asked her mother:
“If he becomes your boyfriend, can he drive me around to get my nails done?”
She also said to Jaylan:
“Do you work at the mall?”
Towards the end of the meeting, Leah reassured her daughters that their opinion matters and that she wants someone to be good for them also.
She said:
“It was very important that I waited to introduce you guys because you guys are my life. So anyone that comes around you guys have to love you guys equally and be good to you.”
She concluded by asking the girls: “You guys want to see him more?”
To which they replied, that they would be interested in spending more time with Jaylan and getting to know him better.
