Teen Mom star Amber Portwood has had a rocky relationship with her daughter, Leah since she went to jail for a year and a half instead of doing a court mandated rehab program. But now, as Leah is getting older, things are worse than ever.

On a recent preview for the latest episode, Amber can be seen telling a producer on the show that “I feel like I’m never going to win,” and she admitted that it had been a “couple of months” since Leah had spoken to her.

With regards to her relationship with ex, Gary, she said:

“I wanted us to have a great co-parenting family that I thought we had until it became weird. And then all of the sudden, Leah just started acting weird and turning on me.”

She was insinuating that Gary and his wife, Kristina had somehow turned Leah against her.

“This is not her. She does not ignore me like this.”

“Even if I take responsibility for every single wrongdoing I’ve ever done, it just feels like it’s never enough. All I can say is sorry and try to move forward. I can’t sit here and have her think things that aren’t true about me cause I am her mother.”

Amber also told the producers that she will never give up on trying to get Leah back into her life. She shared that she actually had written Leah a letter to let her know how much she wants to get their relationship back on track.

She shared that she plans on recording herself reading the letter and sending it to Leah, but she is worried that Leah has blocked her.

In the clip Amber can be seen crying and asking the producer:

“How many times do I need to apologize? They don’t hear me?… How many times do I need to apologize? I’m trying.”

Just last month, Amber was telling an interviewer that she and Gary and Kristina had worked things out:

“Me, Gary, and Kristina, are doing amazing actually. We literally just went to a fair, all of us together, the whole family.”

“We are in a much better spot than we were. We are doing good and we are in contact. I see my kids so obviously I have to see them.”

Apparently the peace deal didn’t last, because now she is back to blaming Gary and Kristina for her relationship struggles with Leah.

In the last episode of Teen Mom, Amber had a video call with Leah in which she was apologizing for “the things that kept us apart.”

Leah told Gary and Kristina that she wasn’t sure if she could forgive her mother for her behavior in the past. Reportedly, Leah also refuses to attend therapy with Amber to try to reconcile, and her father Gary also thinks its a bad idea.

Amber told her producer:

“It’s been a while since I’ve seen her. She hasn’t even answered any of my text messages,” Amber explained to her producer. “She’s not going to answer my phone calls. But she has a Bonus Mom, so … ridiculous way to speak, I’m sorry.”

“It truly breaks my heart that Leah and I are drifting apart.”

“For the past six years, I’ve been seeing a psychiatrist. I really think if I could go to therapy with Leah, it would bring us closer together. But Gary and Kristina feel differently.”

“We’ve already talked about therapy for Leah, but Gary wasn’t for it at all.”

“Therapy is a good thing to get you and your mother back together. Having that mediator can help get her to open up and understand a bit.”

“I think she’ll be happier in life when it comes to understand a bit more of what the past was, where things happen today and how I am today and that it’s okay to have a mom that’s been through these things and you shouldn’t be ashamed of that.
